6FT 3.5 mm to 3 RCA AV Camcorder Video Cable Sony JVC 6 Although I dont have this particular cable I found this note on a different site for a product that looks identical: "If using this cable to iPod video you will need to following these steps: red plug to yellow jack yellow plug to white jack white plug to red jack." Maybe this will work for others having problems with iPod connectivity.

I purchased this cable as a replacement for a similar cable purchased from another vendor. Since the target was my sound card and my sound card has three connections that are very close together and must be used if you want 7.1 channel output it was incredibly important that the 3.5mm plug end be thin. The cable I had purchased prior to this was *far* too large. As far as the quality of the actual sound produced from this cable well youre taking a 4 pole 3.5mm plug and converting it into three RCA plugs. I dont think the cable is at fault for the quality of the sound its just not a good idea to use a 4 pole plug to deliver good quality sound.
